But you guys brought up good point about the complications.
I'm switching to an earlier flight on AA. If there is no delay, the transfer (to international flight) time at JFK will be ~4.5 hours.
Do you have lounge access at JFK? 4.5 hours at JFK (over your original 3:15) should leave you with lots of time to kill--JFK is not a very "exciting" place to kill time.
