The relationship between the magstripe position and chip position is NOT different between the new TD cards and any other credit card. Only the printing is rotated. If it is inserted with the chip in the correct position (ignoring the printing) then the magstripe will also be in the correct position.
I get it that the relationship is the same. But it is the only credit card I have where you insert it into a gas station reader upside down. So, the relationship between printing and functions is not the same.
