Angry ecredit balance missing?

My husband and I had two ecredits from a 2020 flight cancellation. This week we booked another flight using those vouchers, but there was a $170 credit remaining on each credit (and shown in our receipt and a screen grab that I made.) When now trying to book an additional flight using those credits, the website tells us that those vouchers are closed and they do not recognize the remaining credit. Are we able to use that credit balance on another flight? Or only on the one we booked (therefore losing the money)? If only on the flight booked, can we use some of that balance against baggage fees?
