I stayed 1 night during Labor Day weekend...As Diamond, I did not get upgraded to a Regency Club floor room...Therefore, I was denied lounge access...I was told by a clerk that there were 4 Diamonds staying there that weekend...The others had spent the additional 3,000 pts. to guarantee club access, due to having received the following letter from them:

Thank you for choosing to celebrate the Labor Day holiday week with us at the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort, Spa & Casino.

We will be having many activities over the holiday weekend. These activities will include a poolside barbeque, as well as entertainment from 3:00-6:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. The Recreation department will have many planned activities and games throughout the weekend along with a poolside movie Saturday evening, September 4th.

As a Diamond Gold Passport member, we are happy to upgrade your accomodations to a lake view room along with other benefits, such as 30% point bonus on Gold Passport base points earned on your stay. Due to the high occupancy in our Regency Club, we may not be able to offer Regency Club access to our Diamond members over the holiday week. If we are not able to accomodate Regency Club access, we will be happy to provide continental breakfast coupons for you and your party during your stay.

To their credit, I was upgraded to an Alcove Suite on the 4th floor...However, since the letter mentioned that there would be a poolside BBQ, I did not bring any (way cheaper) food from the Strip...
