Sounds like things are moving along and will be fully reopened soon. I don't quite understand what covid restrictions could keep the lounge closed, given indoor dining is permitted on Oahu, but at the rate things are going, hopefully it will be reopening in the next month or two. Until then, though it's not nearly the same selection, Nancy at the Surfrider sure is good at taking care of everyone.
(I think that once the state figures out vaccine exemptions for those coming in from outside Hawaii travel volume will get more normal and maybe that will be the extra push they need)
I will ping the hotel about the lounge when I am back in a few days, though I didn't ask for specifics on my last stay. I do know the Heavenly Spa generates revenue for the hotel and even
that is still closed due to COVID restrictions. I haven't been compelled to look into it personally, because I trust the hotel will reopen the spa as soon as the law allows (and they know my wife wants to spend there).
