I used the SPA and did not receive points for it so will have to get in touch directly or once my concierge is assigned have them handle it for me.

One other thing to note and random quirk.

The WiFi went down a few times during my stay. Also, since the WiFi is unsecured if you’re planning to bring your secure work laptop it may not connect to their WiFi. I did not see any Ethernet outlets in the room.

It was interesting that Chinola’s “juice of the day” was always orange.

If you're comparing the food to other Hyatt resorts, I don't disagree with a 2.5 star rating, if you're comparing it to all-inclusives I think it probably deserves a little higher rating, but I also find the food can be disappointing at times (e.g., the short ribs and Noodle and Thread I've seen others rave about I thought was pretty bad the two times I've tried it, having tried it the second time only because I thought the first time must have been an outlier from all the positive comments I've seen and heard).
That is a fair point about the club pool area and regular pool area and lines up with what happened.

It’s been a while since I’ve stayed at an AI but my expectations were a bit more elevated considering it is a Hyatt. I was kind of expecting a bit more from the food as you are after all going to the destination for the beach/pool and food. As this was my first stay at a ZIVA/Zilara, genuinely curious which ZIVA/Zilara would you say has the best food?

Hotel shuttle? Taxi?
I used DAT as mentioned above. It was about $60 round trip for 2 for private, non-shared, transfer. If you use them have the PDF vouchers you receive from checking out in their website as well as your hotel reservation handy as the person picking you up from the airport will probably ask for it. The company was prompt and on time for both ways. I was able to WhatsApp them to schedule a later departure than what was written on the PDF.
