As tragic as these things are, the security aspect is exactly what I was thinking as well. AA owes an explanation to its customers as to how they intend to protect their customers with this kind of a glaring hole. Do I need to worry that every flight I fly domestically may have come from a non US airport and may have an unintended "package"?
