I am also very curious about the current transit guideline in JNB.
I am panning to travel to Malawi and Mozambique and was contemplating about transiting at JNB. My travel agent told me that there is no interline baggage nor ability to checkin at the airside (secure transit area). if I have a separate tickets.
I am also curious about ability for me to transit at JNB on my way back to US. Is it still allowed to take a flight if I need to enter South Africa to get luggage out and checkin at landside during the transir? Information at the JNB airport site is not at all helpful.
