Paris- Crowne Plaza Republique vs. Holiday Inn Gare de Lyon/Bastille
I'm thinking about staying at the Crowne Plaza/Republique in August, or possibly the Holiday Inn Bastille/Gare de Lyon.
The most important thing to me is walkability. I have been to all the tourist attractions in Paris....I am looking for a fun, funky neighborhood with lots of nearby good local restaurants visited mainly by Parisians (as opposed to the usual "tourist traps")
Which of the two would be preferable by my criteria?
And , if you know, which is the nicer hotel in which to stay?
Thanks in advance,
