Subway is reliable, but two downsides:
  • Recently they've removed yellow mustard from many of their stores. They claim it's a brand decision, but some locations still have it. Mustard is a must-have for me, so it's a deal-breaker. I don't know why they would remove mustard from the menu.
  • I can't order Subway for delivery. I have very specific instructions, and ele.me makes you pick standardized topping sets from their app. You can't not pick. So even if I write my specific instructions separately, many stores will ignore / fail to see it and pick the toppings from what's specified on the app.
I think Tock's has gone downhill. Their first locations (Henan Rd. and the now-defunct Portman) were really good. But not what I've had recently at their new store across from the Shanghai American School.

Alimentari has some good sandwiches, but they don't allow any customization (maybe it's the dunce cashier), even if I want to pay for more meat.
