Noting that airline X just reintroduced beverages other than water, how do you feel about their beverage offering?
Noting that airline Y still doesn't have their pre-COVID beverage selection, how do you feel about their beverage offering?
I could easily see that give March DL a better score than March AC for onboard stuff, even though it would be entirely unwarranted.
There's also expectations. If airline X never gets you a hot meal on a 2 hour flight, then not having a hot meal won't make you upset. But if AC drops 10pm hot meals on 2 hour flights, you'll be upset. So even if the current service is identical, you might give a higher score to the airline that had a poorer pre-COVID service.
