Sometimes I make a sort of sport for myself of trying to get as low a sequence number as possible. (Not much of a sport, really, just means checking in right at t-24h.)

From that I have learned that there's virtually zero chance of getting sequence number 1 on a hub departure, even during the depths of the pandemic. Someone is always connecting and will have checked in earlier.
