Just looked, only flight from Asia/AusPac that might even have a chance to drop folks today to make the OP's flight is the TPE-GUM-SFO - and that's almost empty.
Also, could also be a college sports team. Maybe a month or so ago there was a large group of athletes / coaches on a LAX-ORD flight I was on. Easily 20-30 or more in that group.
