I was the one who searched all over the web and tried to read the "fine" print about the $50 rebate from New Age. I wanted to make sure it would be a valid one before I submitted it. It was not clear which were the "participating" retailers. I posted my confusion and didn't get other FTers' comment. I decided to take my chance. If the $50 rebate didn't work, I would have just lost 1 stamp. I just checked the rebate status online on 10/21/04. Guess what? It was received and processed! It turned out to be a deal!

This afternoon, after realizing the price drop, I rushed back home and called CC's 800#. I was advised to go to the local store and speak to the manager. I drove to the store, walked up to the checkout counter and asked for the manager. The kind CSR told me I didn't need a manager for the price match adjustment, she then took care of it. Wow! I got $29.73 back! (Don't ask me how they came up with this number. It appeared on the refund receipt with sale price $72.30. I was not going to argue. I only knew I got more than what I had expected!)
My profit report:
-$107.99 (original purchase total)
-$ 0.74 (2 rebate stamps)
+$ 40.00 (CC rebate, supposedly on its way)
+$ 50.00 (New Age rebate, supposedly on its way also)
+$ 29.73 (CC price match refund)
