I don't think that is accurate. AA is weak TPAC (UA is strongest followed by DL) and with respect to Africa, the Middle East and India (DL and UA aren't strong but have a few more routes to the later regions). But they have a strong TATL presence and lead with the US-Caribbean and LatAm.
