A caveat on (2) - that's great if you are in an airport with Premium Services, are in a lounge, etc. But, in a random outstation, you aren't going to be looked after in the same way and wouldn't have access to the EXP line to sort it out. So its not foolproof.
fair, as 90% of my domestic flying is solely transcon, and yes the only backup would be the EXP line, which as has been seen the last number of weeks can really be a chore.
so i guess you would have flagship lounge desk > admirals club agent > exp phone line. so the first two are pretty strong but if you are in some random city with no club, you will have to connect to a hub at some point where you would eventually be able to get direct support, so there is still a fairly high % of direct help in those instances i believe.
