Hertz's off-airport concession was just approved on 4/19 and they will be moving into Avis' former off-airport location at 1225 West Highway 22.

Avis estimates the ride from the airport at 30-45 minutes which is likely the longest "airport" shuttle ride in the US.
There is now a Hertz "poster" over the Avis sign at 1225 West Highway 22. It's very amusing.

The airport shuttle estimate is somewhat conservative. The ride depends on the season. They use different roads in the summer and winter so the ride is shorter in the summer and longer in the winter.

My anecdotal observation was that Avis only had two shuttle buses. I counted at least five shuttle buses when I drove by Hertz yesterday so it seems like they may be trying to move people a bit faster than once every 30 minutes or so.
