Sunday, IAD-LHR, the bags were on the seat; no PJs though. There were a whole 11 of us in J. There is a 'UNITED' tag at the bottom outside edge of the bag. I don't know the thresholds for PJs; perhaps LHR is too short. Anyhow, the purser introduced himself to every J passenger, made a point of stating that a seat pad was available for sleeping, but no mention of PJs.
Looks like there was a smaller version of the bag in PE.
Slightly OT, the fun was at LHR transit security. There is a very tiny lip balm in a sealed packet in the Polaris bag. Apparently, lip balm is considered a liquid at LHR. Bag set aside for a search, by hand, and an explosive swab. She went through every inch of the bag looking for the offending object, could not find it, and then she (and I realized) where it was located. She advised me that 'anything soft was considered a liquid', even gummy bears, at LHR.
