The Air NZ lounge was due to re-open a few weeks ago at the same time that the trans-Tasmin bubble started up.
Transit is allowed through Australian airports, both same-day and up to 72 hours later (you have to spend that 72 hours in a quarantine hotel). The incident a few weeks ago at BNE was because two transiting passengers were accidently allowed into the Green departing area (to NZ).
