Just a follow up. I was able to change my outbound flight to NBO (since within 500 miles of EBB) and change my trip dates to later in November with any change fees and difference in fare being waived. I was expecting a fight to get this done (or HUCA multiple times) since I was changing both the arrival city and dates of travel, but it was super easy and took maybe 20 minutes or so to get done.

While there was advice to wait and let the schedule settle down since we're so far out, I wanted to take advantage of the policy to change dates. Since the policy in place at the time of the requested change (as opposed to the policy when the ticket was booked) dictates what options I have, I didn't want to wait as I suspect the policy will be less and less generous going forward as COVID vaccinations continue to roll out.
