I've stayed at this hotel twice in the last month. All in all, I think it is one of the better Sheratons in the US. From the sounds of things (reading above), the rooms have been recently renovated. I was very pleased with both stays.
The first time was a relatively last minute reservation for a standard room. I am a Platinum member. When I arrived the gentleman explaned that the club floor was full, so they put me on the floor below and programmed my room key to give me access to the club floor and lounge. Without my saying a word, he sincerely apologized that a club room was not available. I found the room to be clean, modern and recently renovated. It had the Sheraton Sleep Sleeper bed -- it's no Westin Heavenly Bed, but it's still a huge improvement over to the old Sheratons. Free high speed internet access in the room. ^
The second visit, I was given a room on the club floor. Same room, essentially, but this one came with a robe. I didn't notice any other differences.
The club lounge on the top floor is very nice. There is a computer for use by guests and a large screen TV with comfortable sitting area and about 8 or 9 4-top tables. It is staffed for both breakfast and evening appetizers. There seems to be a lot of regulars at this hotel, as many of the guests seemed to know the staff quite well. Breakfast is your basic continental, with fruit & some pastries. In the evening there is fruit, vegetables, chips, dip and a couple of hot items. Drinks, no matter what you order, cost $1 each. They had some nice higher-end selections, too. I thought the $1 charge was odd; I suspect it has something to do with local liquor laws.
I definitely recommend this hotel -- especially if you are Platinum member. They take good care of you.
