I think I need to clarify. It looks to me that NOLDC is a proxy whois info service. Kind of like when you pay the post office to have a P.O Box so that you wouldn't have to give out your home address.

DomainContender is a small registrar, like, say, Network Solutions, but way smaller.
Both of them may be able to point you to the owner of the domain, but the two companies may not actually be the owners.
