Hi everyone, I have used this forum a lot before for avios tips, but never posted before. I hope someone will be able to advise me as I'm a bit confused.
Last autumn I booked return flights to Tokyo for 2 people. The next day I spent 72,000 avios on a one way upgrade. I have had to cancel this trip due to coronavirus so I have just received my future travel voucher.
I wondered what happens to those avios I spent on the upgrade? The FAQ on BA refers to 'part pay' but in my case this was a separate upgrade transaction after I bought the tickets.
I can call BA to find the total value but I know phone lines are busy.
