This should be true for telephone FHR bookings if they are still processed by Platinum Travel Service. It is often not true for online FHR bookings which are now processed by Expedia. Reports from other posters can be misleading because most hotels are franchises, and this means individual properties may choose to award points or status benefits when not required by the chain's loyalty program terms. Just to clarify, my understanding is that even PTS will only work if it's a post-paid booking. In my case, I want to book Delano for Hyatt stay credit. However, only pre-paid is available, so it doesn't matter if I book via Expedia or PTS. Either way, it won't count for Hyatt?
