Presumably, if doing a short hop to somewhere like GIB for a work meeting, so in one day, back the next, a single test could satisfy the entry to GIB and entry to UK requirement at the same time.....or is that asking for issues....?
I’ve been wondering about that as the wording in the guidance on gov.uk has changed. It now specifies a test in the country of departure, which differs to previously where a test on departure from the UK covered a return to the UK within 3 days.
Maybe the new guidance presumes a holiday with a stay longer than 3 days?
If not, it’s a complication for same day or short trips.
