Just completed a stay here and thought it was a great value for the points with meals included. Service was great, beautiful location and property, comfortable rooms, and food was solid. The two nights we were there they offered a vegetarian and meat special each night. We ordered the rack of lamb the first night and steak the second night. There was no additional charge for any of the specials. We tried going to sunset hour but when we showed up to Sur House around 5:00pm we were told it was from 3:30pm to 4:00pm which seemed early and short and thought we were told different hours at check in. Also instead of the standard key cards they now provide wooden coin disks with their logo. When we checked in we got the regular key cards but when we checked out they gave us the coins as a memento. At check in we were told that the snacks in the rooms aren’t replenished automatically but you could request to have them refilled any time and that to please take the snacks before we left since they get thrown out after each guest. Since we were celebrating an anniversary they gave us flowers and a half bottle of champagne in our room and the staff did a great job with recognition including when we first drove up to the gates. There are a ton of Tesla chargers but if you have another EV car there’s one charger in the employee parking lot and one in the restaurant parking lot although the restaurant gate is closed. You have to request for them to turn on the charger or you can valet and they will take care of it for you. Also the hotel is very busy and we tried to check in before 4pm but our room wasn’t ready until right before 4pm. There seemed to be quite a few people throughout our stay trying to check in early but had to hang around the property waiting. Close to check in time they very generously offered a glass of champagne as we were hanging out front and they saw us and another couple still waiting for our rooms. Overall a really wonderful and relaxing stay using points.
