does anyone know why this flight segment ORD LHR on AA metal shows as Boeing 787-8 and has a WiFi symbol -


- and return segment ATH -ORD (also on AA metal) shows as Boeing 787-800 and no WiFi.



I also checked AA app and aa.com website. Same thing on both. Seat map looks identical (both segments have rear facing seats in J). At first I though maybe that’s how they differentiate between newer 787-8 with all forward facing seats that got delivered last year, but it does not seem to be the case. Both flights are mid June.
if anyone has any knowledge why I’m curious to know
