agreed with previous thread that hard to find such a serene and relax place like Big Sur. The value for points redemption is absolutely worth it.
Also here now. Just to provide another DP- first time here; so called Globalist "lite" by some members in this forum- booked 30k basic room, was not upgraded the day prior or the day of check-in
- morning of check in day, there was a standard suite available. We probably arrived too late to get that room in the evening, but would have been nice if we could have been upgraded like the post above. Perhaps being lite or first timer made a difference.
No complaints. Very nice property, very relaxing stay. Perfect weather this weekend. Overall food is not of outstanding quality, but generally okay. Some pool side lunch items seem the best to me so far, e.g., poke, wedge salad, burger (though ours was clearly well past medium).
