Was upgraded upon request to a “Junior Suite” which was actually fairly large for a “Junior Suite” on a 4 night stay. Which had 2 lamps, a sofa bed, a chair with foot rest, a large tiled shower and a shower/tub.
The restaurant was not open at the time so can’t really comment on that, though based on Hyatt.com reviews pre-Covid you weren’t missing much.
Parking is Complimentary for Globalists on Award Stays I recently had MHC contact Hyatt Corporate along with the Hotel’s GM who handed down the verdict that parking is complimentary for Globs on Award stays here. The front desk should provide you a code to enter in the app which waives all Parking fees assuming it’s a Glob Award stay.
When we stayed they also had a soccer tournament booked so we noticed a lot of teens, but we didn’t stay on property much since it’s not a full service property.
As far as Breakfast I would’ve contacted your Concierge to have them clarify that you should receive breakfast if the restaurant is open.
As far as parking you can most definitely charge it to the room, they have Parking packages if you look at rates. So it would’ve been a good idea to ask.
Sorry you had a poor stay. It’s not exactly the best, but for a Category 1 with the Junior Suite Upgrade we got I’d say it’s the Better choice in North Dallas. If you’re willing to pay 12k points a night or a much higher cash rate then the Hyatt’s downtown would of course be much nicer though you’d pay 2.5x the rate.
Frankly, these days I don't have the attitude or energy to fight with properties for things that should be obvious. We're at 100 Hyatt nights for the year as of tonight. I'd rather just move and give my money to a better one.
