Booked a pair of award tickets in business CHS-ATL-SLC. CHS-ATL ended up lasting 1.75 hours due to weather; missed connection.

Wife and I were put on standby for the next flight. Made our presence known to the GA about 1.5 hours before the standby flight (needed to check with him to even be sure we were standby).

When boarding process started and upgrades cleared, 2 people were upgraded from coach to business, and wife and I ended up in last row of coach (yay toilet seats :-/ )

That seems... incorrect. Am I wrong? It's been a year or so :-)
