Between the JW and the Marriott both in People Square, I prefer the latter for their generous happy hours at the lounge.

As a Gold, I've always scored an upgrade to the corner room at either properties but the Marriott is a tad larger and has nice views from the showers.

The other Marriott properties are lackluster. The lounge and rooms at the Renaissance at Zhongshan Park are quite tired. I don't like the layout of the Renaissance Yu Gardens - a bath tub in the middle of a room?!

Was looking forward to the LRM before its exit but no point if elite status doesn't get you any benefits.
