CO 40 EUA Boarding Pass

So, I was on CO 40 IAH-EWR.
EUA apparently ran while I was in the air on my outbound flight.

At the gate it spits out the "seat assignment" slip which grants me a seat in BusinessFirst.

What's hilarious is that it reads IAH-EWR-FCO!

It took EVERYTHING in my power NOT to try getting back on in EWR and continue to Rome.
My passport was SCREAMING at me!
...though, getting home -might- have been an issue.

So, what were my chances of making it?

I needed that seat to be unassigned EWR-FCO and let employee class fil-out all th others. Then, an inaccurate 'open' seat count up front.

Hmmm.

Any takers? What were the chances I'd make it?
...Would anybody have tried to get back on with that seat assignment slip?
