#1 benefit: credit card application approvals (even with 5/24 NOT being waived)

I believe that CPC helps in unidentified ways, for me it’s approvals for multiple credit cards and also an Ultimate Rewards banking bonus which I do not think I would have received if I wasn’t CPC.

CPC is of no cost (opportunity or other) to me. I transferred some stock and/or mutual fund positions that I’ve owned for over 10 years, have no intention to sell anytime soon and that previously had been transferred back and forth between Fidelity, Schwab and Ameritrade to take advantage of Frequent Flyer promotion bonuses from those brokerages. The only cost or expense has been my time and energy to accomplish the transfers, which was significant years ago when paper transfer forms were required but is now minimal requiring just a few keyboard strokes and clicks of a mouse.

So, minimal to no cost, hundreds of thousand points and miles, I’ll take that deal every day even if I don’t know the unidentified details.
