As a person spending over 110 nights with Hyatt during 2020 and 2021, mostly at one particular HR, Beckles is correct. Unpublished benefits pave the way to happiness.
Published benefits up to 100 days....no other program I know of comes close. Everyone on FT reading hotel forums knows it.
I agree with you, as noted above people staying in the 0-100 night range I believe make up 99.9% of overall guests.
There’s no need to go beyond that, and as noted most people who do go above 100 tend to stay at 1 property frequently. That individual property most definitely takes notice, and those soft touches will be well worth it.
The only thing I’d say for Hyatt to consider changing is the 100th night Milestone.
100 is a significant number both in society as well as to Hyatt.
I’d just say for Hyatt to
consider boosting that Milestone to a choice of one of the following -
1 Premium TSU (Good for Premium Suites but excludes Presidential or Penthouse Suites)
20,000 WOH Points
WOH Parking Pass Valid for Parking on paid stays at any Hyatt where parking can be charged to the room. It could be a card that you present at check in with your name and WOH Number.
(1) Category 1-7 Certificate
I feel like this is not only showing those guests who stayed 100 nights some appreciation, but it also encourages those who would only stay 85 or 90 nights to stay those extra 10-15 nights by giving them that extra push.
I had 90 nights in 2019 and 102 nights in 2020 so I’m close to there. I feel like had they had something extra at 100 I would’ve pushed harder to get there in 2019.
I wouldn’t ask Hyatt for a 110+ night milestone. That’d be a hard ask, because where would they stop? If they stop at 140 then the person at 150 feels left out. 100 is a good number, it also makes it feel like a great achievement for the guest to hit 100.
Just my two cents.
