cons
- globalist gets acknowledged but no upgrades even though I think there is a JR suite available for at least one night of my stay
- I’m put on a ground floor room so can hear people walking upstairs vividly
- quite some bugs and mosquitos so better keep the balcony door shut
- besides informed about the room, I’m not told any activity happening here besides the pool at check in. No email reaching us before arrival either

ps - coffee machine is nespresso in the room but thought read something different in the past may be they switched after becoming alila

overall this is a very nice stay. But comparing between napa vs big sur, I’d def opt for big sur based my visit last year and it’s a much bigger property. We are heading there tomorrow again and has been upgraded to a premium suite in the system.
Thanks for the report! overall this is going to be a very different experience than ventana. Ventana is meant to be the destination with activities and such. Napa is meant to be more of a home base for all the activities that are in the area (i.e., wine tastings, meals, a bit of shopping). So not surprising the only "activity" is the pool. it was that way pre-covid too.

Coffee used to be french press when it first opened as Las Alcobas.
