Which isn't to say there aren't potential service issues at Rosewood (certainly if you're not in the suites/Manor Club level with a butler etc there is a difference), but some of these (local staycationers/reviewers) also have bizarre expectations - especially considering the prices/inclusions on offer at the moment.
It's fine to be constructive and critical, or when places are charging close to full rates - it's another when they're basically sweetening the deal so your room barely costs anything, they're short staffed etc.
However, the linen in that video is a bad look - with that said, I was just at Rosewood the other day and things were in fantastic shape. So not sure what went wrong for that particular person.
Agree... most hotels have " off " days... though it becomes problematic once it's a pattern. Would be interesting what service recovery was.
A single YouTube video isn't saying much. TripAdvisor (aside from usual purchased reviews) displays nothing out of the ordinary as well.
I hope HK opens up soon for vaccinated travellers, so I could go visit.
I managed to get pictures of the renovated rooms product at FS HK, it is more residential and really lovely from the pictures I have seen. Although bathrooms seem almost unchanged / a very light renovation, changed a few faucets and modernised, layout and marble remain the same. Suites will be promising, rooms seem very full of furniture and tons of textures.
