SO just got approved for the Venture card. This is the only Cap1 card we carry. Also do not plan to keep the Venture card. Probably PC to other no fee card. Not a keeper.
It may not be a keeper for you, but just because something doesn’t work out well for you specifically doesn’t make what others say a fallacy or wrong. It’s a fact Cap1 has many more opportunities to earn transferable miles than Citi does. It’s also a fact that Cap1 has strict requirements for approval. It’s also a fact that Citi only allows 1 bonus every 24 months on its transferable currency cards if you jockey the cards correctly.
So decide which works for you and go for it, but the facts are Capital One has made its credit cards significantly more compelling over the past 12 months.
