Stay Report: 04/21/21 - 04/22/21
Location: ~1.5 miles north of GEG - take Flint Rd. to the US2 and turn right. Hotel has an airport shuttle available 24 hours - Called the hotel when we arrived in the late evening/night and used it to get picked up for the 1 night stay and then used the shuttle again to get back to the terminal to pick up the rental car the next day since we got in after rental counter had closed (and saved a day of rental). In the same parking lot as the hotel is the Rusty Moose and just to the east is a place called Bruchi's. There's not much else around this hotel but apparently with Amazon having set up a Fulfillment Center on the south side of GEG, a bit of construction is popping up in the area.
Hotel: Given the vintage of this thread, this HGI has seen a number of years. That being said, the hotel in general is in great shape for its age with some wear and tear here and there.
Views from the approach via Flint Rd. and the access road/driveway behind le hotel:

Check In: Got into the lobby some time after 10 pm. Had checked in via the app and requested a digital key but needed two physical keys and wanted to find out how breakfast worked. I'd called before booking to confirm that they were serving something other than a brown bag. Turns out hotel had already stuffed a envelope with a welcome letter and breakfast voucher under the room door before we'd arrived so once we got the room keys, headed upstairs. Here's the envelope and its contents:
Room: I'd preselected 305 (top floor). I'd note that the room faces US2 - with a bunch of truck traffic so some highway noise to contend with. Also, the wonderful blue Hilton CleanStay sticker was affixed to the door and door jam to show it hadn't been opened since Housekeeping did their thing.
305: two queens:

Day:
FWIW, 305 sits above the indoor pool area.
Also, the blackout shade is not a perfect fit so a bunch of light leaked through in the AM:
Lobby Shop: Well stocked
Breakfast:
Had to get another coupon for my son since only one was provided in the envelope.

Ordered the Scramble:
:
I ended up boxing half of it up to go given the size of the serving. Requested and received both coffee and OJ.
Room rate was $79 per night plus tax. This hotel is the closest Hilton property to GEG ('tho the Hampton Inn is also fairly close). FWIW, there's also a SHS, Wingate and Ramada across from the GEG terminal. When reserving rooms, the SHS was a fair bit more expensive - and they also charge for parking.
I thought that this HGI is a great exemplar of how some of Hilton's smaller/limited service brands are outstanding hotels in the region in which they serve. Even as an older HGI, it has been well maintained and updated and wasn't scrimping on breakfast, exercise facility access, etc. and would book again.

p.s. Have shots of the pool and exercise room if desired/needed.
