hey all, so def TK has just resumed the status match. I was advised to contact the local office. good thing is within1h after I sent the relevant documents, they approved the request. I find the following message may provide more clarity on the 15k 1st-year requirement?

The question is, at least in this email i received yesterday, TK made it clear that 15k is within the first year together. Did they change the process lately? at least from what I read, it seems the first flight also counts towards 15k, as it's "within the first year of Elite Membership"
"There are a few details about your upgrade to Elite that we’d like to tell you about:

• You are required to perform at least one international flight with Turkish Airlines in this period.
• At the end of the trial period, if you have at least one international flight in your membership account, which you have performed with Turkish Airlines, your Elite membership is extended for 8 more months (i.e. it remains valid for 1 year in total after the match).
• If you reach 15,000 Status Miles in the international flights you will perform with Turkish Airlines in the first year of your Elite membership, your membership is extended for 1 more year (i.e. it remains valid for 2 years in total after the match)."
