I have an "under seater" style bag I got from Costco that fits easily, but I have seen other people bringing on board some larger ones that push the envelope and fit like a glove. I wanted to revive this thread to report back on bags that fit overhead in a CRJ200. I ordered the
Travelpro Maxlite 5 21”, and it just barely fits in the overhead. Dimensions are advertised as
23 inches x 14.5 inches x 9 inches. It’s a bit wider at the wheel end than the top (and I didn’t measure to see whether the reported depth is at the wheels or at the top). It gets a little stuck at the wheel side when first going in and needs a gentle shove to get it in. It also appears short enough to fit in the first C/D bin, which is shorter than the rest.
