Main reason for this is that the data is in two different places. When you log in, that's the franchisor's site, but the individual property has the folio and that's their business records that the franchisor doesn't have any right to. Now with a lot of the property management systems becoming cloud-based and more closely affiliated with the franchisor, the data nexus becomes less of a technical issue and more of a legal one.
