"No change fees. Ever."- rejoiced when I heard this- change fees were the bane of my flying existence.
So does anyone really think that this no change fee (ever!) thing is a permanent thing and we won't ever see them again? I feel like a few years from now some dreadful airline (*cough*...United) will re-introduce them (especially if there is a recession or bad economic period in the next few years) and Alaska and other carriers will follow suit. Anyone have an experience when an airline or Alaska specifically promised to never do something and then they do it? Since Alaska has publicly committed to this not sure how much that promise is worth and if they are more likely to keep their word as a result.
