As of right now you can book a BV for 5 nights so no restrictions there, as far as the WV there are no good answers, you will need 7 nights on points to book it (540K) and then your option is to call the Diamond Desk, have them cancel and try to redo it, but there are no guarantees that they will be able to see availability for less than 7 days and you could also lose the reservation.
Personally I don't like BV's- if I'm going it has to be a WV, but I think I'm in the minority here. Book the 7 night BV and if you have the cash upgrade to the WV for whatever you can afford and you get the best of both worlds.
