Use your BA PNR at finnair.com (Manage My Booking) to change the frequent flyer number to your AA account. Then you can go to AA.com and the booking will show up in your trips. You'll be able to select seats, and check in on the AA app. I just did this today for a booking I made with BA Avios, so I know it works.
