DC isn't really a free card - it is a free add on to a $95 card (Citi Premier). And in terms of comparing Capital One Venture to Citi Double Cash on a standalone basis, Capital One Venture does have a lot of advantages for say a beginning / moderate traveler:
1) Pre-Check credit
2) No foreign transaction fee
3) Decent promotions during the pandemic (5x Uber Eats fr example)
4) Better sign up bonus
So for those that are just using a couple of cards, honestly Capital One Venture is a very credible option at this point
