That is the protocol. The pool cabanas are free for Globalists. Guests can make a reservation for a cabana to set it up. If you have a butler/Club, your butler can arrange the cabana reservations for the entire stay.
That must have changed recently. We were there over Christmas and it wasn't complimentary. We did get one complimentary on our 2nd to last day due to some issue that was their fault (the one we booked and paid for originally was occupied by a young couple snuggling). I think at that time Globalists got something like 25% off all paid services.
I'm surprised that they are now offering it free of charge with the thousands of new Globalists joining the ranks.
