We booked 2 adults and 2 kids in the standard room and it seems you wouldn't even be able to book into a suite unless it is 3 or fewer people - does having 4 people on the reservation instead of 3 hurt our chances of a comp upgrade? Should we remove one person from the reservation to increase our chances? We also used points for 6 nights and a free night certificate for the last night, will that certificate hurt our chances as well? Should we switch it to also being a points reservation?
I hate to dash your hopes, but don't bother thinking about a comp upgrade to a suite just because you're a Glob. There are only a handful of standard suites and they are in high demand, especially during peak periods. This property sees so many Globs every day they tend to be "by the book" as far as benefits. An comp upgrade to a premium suite would be extremely rare, even if one was available. They often are not as there are many guests that will pay points or cash for them.
