Just booked a standard room on points for a peak period later this year - there were no standard suites available to use our Globalist suite upgrades on and thinking it is probably unlikely they open up before our stay (but will obviously keep checking!)
We booked 2 adults and 2 kids in the standard room and it seems you wouldn't even be able to book into a suite unless it is 3 or fewer people - does having 4 people on the reservation instead of 3 hurt our chances of a comp upgrade? Should we remove one person from the reservation to increase our chances? We also used points for 6 nights and a free night certificate for the last night, will that certificate hurt our chances as well? Should we switch it to also being a points reservation?
