We have had members who have been concerned the AA upgrade policy would change to replicate the BA policy, which treats Premium Economy as a separate class of service and upgrades are Economy to Premium Economy or Premium Economy to Business, since AA introduced PE. But if has never come about, and in my opinion it has t come about other than in this AACR agent’s mind. This change in upgrade policy would not likely be stealthy; xJonNYC, the bloggers, etc. would be all over this change and it would be avidly (if angrily) discussed here.

I do hope someone takes this issue up the AA food chain (I’ve posted two possibilities upthread) so we can have verification of the current upgrade policy (and the CR agent corrected).

(Given this has to do with reservations and customer experience more than AAdvantage...)
