Seems as though some of the “suites” you can use SNAs for aren’t really an upgrade, so any advice there would be helpful too. We are staying on points so I’m sure we will be initially booked into a loading dock view. I hear that some of the rooms/views here are pretty rough.
As am Ambassador, the default upgrade here seems to the Grand Deluxe room with a view of the pools. I would take that over the base Executive Suite, which they don't even show on the website, and which we did not like at all. Very oddly shaped and poorly furnished. We got the Phoenician Suite once by asking if there were any suites available, and it was awesome.
